Support at school

Queensland state schools work to ensure the success and wellbeing of every student with disability through every stage of learning in an inclusive education system.

Reasonable adjustments are made by state schools so students with disability are able to access and participate in education on the same basis as students without disability.

Your role at the school

Research shows kids respond better at school when their parents or carers are involved.

You can support your child by getting involved. You can, for example:

• volunteer to help:
  • in the tuckshop
  • in the classroom (e.g. reading)
  • on excursions
  • with fundraising efforts

  By being involved in your child's school you find out what's going on in the school community, have a chance to meet other parents and share experiences.
