First-year Applicants

In order to be reviewed for admission, first-year applicants will need to submit the following materials.

If you have any questions regarding the application process, find your admission counselor to start a conversation.

Admission Application

Students can submit either the Common Application or the Saint Anselm Application in order to be considered for admission.

Application Fee or Fee Waiver

A $50 fee is required with each application. Saint Anselm College will waive the $50 application fee for the following students:

Official School Transcript(s)

High school transcript(s) need to be submitted by your high school counselor. Please make sure to have the counseling office submit your most current transcript.

In some cases, in order to gain a better understanding of your academic history, your admission counselor may request to include grades from your senior year in your application review. In these cases, your application will be considered incomplete until your senior year grades have been received. First quarter, trimester, or semester grades may fulfill this requirement.

School Report

The school report should be completed and submitted by your school counselor. The school report allows us to learn more about your school and can be found online through the Common Application or Saint Anselm Application.

Letter of Recommendation

A recommendation letter is an important way for us to learn more about you as a student and provides valuable information about your development as a student in high school.
We require one letter of recommendation, either by a school counselor or a teacher (preferably from the last two years). We will also accept additional recommendations from teachers, coaches, clergy members, employers, alumni, etc.

Optional: SAT I or ACT Results

SAT Code: 3748
ACT Code: 2522

Typically, Saint Anselm College is test-optional for incoming first-year domestic students, with the exception of those applying who were homeschooled or applying for our nursing program. Saint Anselm College has extended its temporary test-optional policy for ALL Fall 2025 applicants, including nursing and homeschool applicants. The Office of Admission will continue to monitor the situation for future years and make any policy changes as necessary.

Applicants may submit self-reported test scores for use during the admission process. Self-reported scores can come directly from the Common Application or a student can send us a PDF copy of their student score report. We will not accept self-reported scores in an email from the student unless the email includes the students’ score report as indicated above. Please note that official test scores (if available) will be required for each student that enrolls at the college.

Test Score Policy
For both the SAT or ACT exam, we suggest that students take the optional essay/writing section. The essay/writing portion of the SAT is not an admission requirement. We will super-score the SAT and ACT exams.

SAT and ACT test dates prior to November 15th will release results in time for scores to be considered with early action or early decision applications. If students are applying regular decision, test dates through December 15th will provide results in time for scores to be considered with their application.
