Environmental Public Health Act (Chapter 95) 1987.

This Act provides for the disposal of industrial and domestic waste from land and streets in appropriate containers, the prohibition on use of nightsoil or human excreta as manure, the prohibition of cultivation or use of manure or irrigation which is nuisance. Waste collection is contracted to appointed employees and disposal facilities are available for collecting and dumping and processing refuse; industrial waste disposal and procedures are detailed even for the recycling and reusing processes and, dangerous substance or toxic industrial waste shall not be brought to disposal facility without permission.
The Act also sets out provisions related to the sale and trade of food and food products for human consumption in catering premises, stall and eateries (See also Schedules I and III).
The Act further provides for the sewerage and drainage of organic waste; the standards for water quality and purity in case of potable water, the prescriptions in case of pollution of the water supply; etc.
